The plan to coat my apartment’s entire foyer with green chalkboard paint didn’t pan out. The cans I bought were gritty, gloopy, and downright ornery. And, being oil-based, fumey. I endured applying two coats of chalkboard paint to the sliding closet doors (right) and dipped the rest of the entryway in Benjamin Moore’s Clearspring Green in satin finish (left), a complementary hue that feels very English-manor.
